One solution is to make the patient the customer not the government or insurance companies. We could have medical savings accounts with a very high deductible insurance policies. We need to get the government and insurance companies out of the Dr.'s office, hospitals, etc. They require too much useless paper work and interfere with the doctor-patient relationship. There are many good free market solutions to high costs. Competition is the best regulator.
